Khajur Laddu (Date dumplings)

Ingredients:
1 cup wheat flour,
1 cup gram flour or besan,
1/2 cup ghee (home made butter),
1 cup grated jaggery,
1/2 cup deseeded khajur or dates,
2 tbsp each white til (sesame seeds), groundnuts (peanuts) and khus khus (poppy seeds),
Ground elaichi (Green cardamom) and jaiphal (nutmeg) as per taste.

Method:
Heat a tbsp of ghee in a kadhai (wok) and roast wheat flour on a low flame till it is fragrant and turns pinkish. Remove and set aside. In a same kadhai add remaining ghee, melt and then add the gram flour and roast it well till it is fragrant. Dry roast white til, peanuts and khus khus separately, cool them and coarsely grind them. Mix all the ingredients together and knead well. Make small laddus out of this dough.
