Breakfast, Maharashtrian, Quickies, Veg

Ingredients:
1 cup rice flour,
1/4 cup besan (gram flour),
1 cup sour curd or buttermilk,
1 tsp garlic paste,
1-2 green chillies; finely chopped,
A pinch of asafoetida,
Salt to taste,
A tbsp of chopped coriander leaves,
Oil.

Method:
Mix all the ingredients except oil and prepare a batter of pouring consistency, thinner than the dosa batter. Add water as per requirement.
Heat a griddle (tava) until very hot. Mix the batter and scoop a spoonful of it and drop onto the tava, in a circular motion starting from outer periphery. You will find the ghavan is full of small holes, that is the beauty of this recipe. Fill in the gaps where necessary. Cook it on low flame. Smear some oil from the sides and edges. When the base turns golden brown, flip it over. Cook from this side too. Serve with chutney.
