Banana Split

Ingredients:
2 ripe but firm bananas; each split in two,
1 scoop each vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream, (or any syrup of your choice)
Chocolate, Raspberry and Strawberry syrup as per taste, (or any syrup of your choice)
Whipped cream,
Sliced nuts,
Cherries to garnish.

Other-
Shallow dessert dish.

Method:
Arrange the bananas in the dessert dish. Place the ice cream scoops over them in a row. Then top with flavored syrups, each scoop with a different flavor. Now top with plenty of whipped cream. Garnish with nuts and cherries. You can again top it with your favorite syrup if you like. Serve immediately before the ice cream melts!

Very Berry Smoothie

Ingredients:
6 strawberries,
1/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries,
1/4 cup frozen mixed berries,
1 cup whole fat milk, (try low fat if you want a low calorie smoothie)
1 cup water,
2 tbsp skim milk powder.

Method:
Blend all the ingredients in the blender until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve chilled

Banana and Strawberry Smoothie

Ingredients:
2 bananas,
10-12 strawberries,
1 cup whole fat milk,
1 cup water,
1/2 cup cream,
Sugar as per taste.

Method:
Blend together all the ingredients till smooth. Chill and serve.

Low Calorie Raspberry Dessert

A delicious dessert and yet low in calories. We are using yogurt instead of cream and replace sugar with any sugar free agent.

Ingredients:
1 cup raspberries,
1 cup low fat sweetened yogurt; beaten till smooth and creamy,
3-4 cookies of your choice,
3-4 tbsp sugar (optional).

Method:
Blend the raspberries till smooth. Add sugar and blend again for 2 minutes. Crumble the cookies into coarse powder. Then arrange the serving glasses or bowls. Arrange in layers two spoonfuls of blended raspberry, then yogurt, cookie crumbles, again a layer of raspberry, yogurt and top with some more cookie crumbles to finish. Complete filling all the serving glasses and chill until ready to serve.

Lettuce wrapped Chicken and Papaya Fingers

Ingredients:
1 medium size ripe papaya; peeled,
1 cup broken lettuce leaves,
1 large boneless chicken breast,
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce,
1 tbsp mint-coriander-green chilli paste,
1/2 tsp amchur (dry mango) powder,
Salt and pepper to taste,
Red chilli powder to taste,
Oil for frying.

Method:
Slice the papaya’s firm outer portion, and then cut them into fingers. Similarly cut the chicken into fingers.
To chicken add oil, Worcestershire sauce, mint-coriander-green chilli paste, salt, mix and marinate for 10 minutes.
Marinate the papaya separately with red chilli powder, pepper and amchur for 10 minutes.
Heat a griddle, add little oil and then place these fingers on it and fry them till golden. Then place a chicken finger and a papaya finger in a lettuce leaf and wrap them. Serve as starters.
