Ingredients:
250 gms teendas,
1 large onion, sliced,
1 medium tomato, sliced,
1/2″ piece ginger, finely chopped,
1 green chilli,
1/4 tsp red chilli powder,
1/2 tsp garam masala,
2 tsp dhania powder(coriander powder),
1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves,
1/2 cup milk,
Oil.
Method:
Wash and peel the teendas. Cut each teenda into 2 halves and them slice them. Heat some oil in a kadhai(wok) fry the onion slices till they turn transparent. Then add ginger and all the masalas. Mix well, fry for a minute and then add the sliced tomatoes. Saute till tomatoes turn soft. Now add coriander leaves, mix well. Add milk and cook till gravy thickens. Add the sliced teendas and some water to form a gravy. Cover and cook till the teendas are soft. Once teendas are cooked, add salt and reduce the gravy to a thick masala. Serve with chapatis.
