Ingredients:
200gms tomato puree,
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped,
1 tsp oregano,
3 tbsp oil,
1 tsp black pepper,
1/4 tsp basil,
1 small onion, finely chopped,
1 tsp brown sugar,
1 tsp Parmesan cheese, grated,
Salt to taste,
Water as required.
Method:
Heat the oil in a saucepan and add chopped garlic and oniono, saute for a minute or two and add oregano, pepper, basil, brown sugar, tomato puree and grated Parmesan cheese. Add water as per requirement. Cook for 20-30 minutes till the mixture has a nice thick consistency. This sauce can be refrigerated for a few days in an airtight container.
