Ingredients:
250 gms Prawns, peeled and deveined,
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp fresh coconut, grated
1-2 cocum pieces
For masala-
3tbsp fresh coconut,grated
1 tsp coriander seeds,
1 tsp black pepper powder,
1 tsp til (sesame seeds),
2 tbsp kaju(cashew nuts),
1 tsp jeera(cummin seeds),
3-4 methi dana(fenugreek seeds),
2 dry red chillies
For gravy-
1 finely chopped onion,
Puree of 2 tomatoes,
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste,
4-6 Kadi patta (curry leaves),
2-3 green chillies(or as per taste).
Method:
Roast all ingredients of masala and keep aside.
Saute the ingredients of gravy in oil and add the masala and grind to paste.
Roast the entire masala for 5 minutes.
Add 2 cups of water into the masala to make curry and bring to boil.
Later add prawns and cook for 5 minutes.
When done add grated coconut and cocum before serving.
