Ingredients:
3 tomatoes; chopped,
4-5 cloves garlic; chopped,
6-8 fresh basil leaves,
2 tbsp olive oil,
Pepper to taste.
Method:
Heat olive oil in a pan and add chopped garlic. Saute for a minute till it leaves its aroma. Then add the chopped tomatoes and cook stirring, till tomatoes are nice soft. Chop the basil leaves and add to the sauce. Mix well and season with some freshly ground pepper. Tomato and Basil sauce is ready. Can be used in tacos, pastas, on grilled chicken or vegetables or simply as a dip.
TIP:
You can use tomato puree instead of fresh tomatoes.
